Hi Just wanted to add a few dartmouth area playgroups for those of you in this area.

My favourite is the MFRC playgroup in Shearwater, its for both Military and others. Cost is $1 per child for military $2 per child non military. It is on Mon, Wed and Thurs mornings 9.30 - 11ish. The kids do craft, play, and visit the gym with the cars, balls, bikes and rockers. They also have a circle time at the end. Bring your own peanut free snack.

Also Dartmouth community centre runs a drop in play group at St Clements Church on Gastron Rd. Its also pretty good, its free, on Tuesdays 9.30 - 11.00, and they provide snacks. They have different stations and tables set up which include craft, playdough and sensory areas and the area is quiet big.

Thanks for the info, Bec! I have the MFRC one in the calendar here, though I have it as Mon, Wed and Fridays not Thursdays so I'll need to change that! It's great to hear from someone who uses it that it's a good resource!

Do you know if the Dartmouth Community Centre one runs with the school year, or through the summer? Def want to get that in the calendar!

The other main Dartmouth one that I know of is at PACT - details here but I'm sure there must be others - anyone with ideas please post here to let other people know and then I'll get them into the calendar too!

I don't think the Dartmouth Family Centre one runs through summer but they do have alot of other programs too. There address is 107 Albro Lake Rd, Dartmouth and phone number is 464 8234.

They also have a Family Literacy Fun day this Sat May 30th which is free from 1pm - 3pm and for all ages. Activities such as games, music, poetry, story telling, scavenger hunt, snacks, prizes.

The Pact playgroup is good too but $4 per child is a bit much since I usually have between 2-5 kids with me
