Kid Friendly Beaches 3 Years, 11 Months ago
We are fairly new to the city and are looking for recommendations on the best beaches for kids under 5. Looking of course for lots of sand, bathrooms, swimming, and any other info. If anyone has anything to share on this topic we would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Rainbow Haven is a good one and is just outside of Dartmouth. Also Martinique is good too which is out in Musqudobit (spelling?). That's all I can think of at the moment. Rainbow haven has bathrooms and a canteen with a boardwalk to get down to the beach.

We like MacDonald Beach - off Caldwell Rd, but there is a small fee to get in. We also like Birch Cove off Oakdale Cresc. If you want some water play, the sprinklers at Westmount Park in Halifax are always a hit!

Shubi park has a little beach which I find great when you have 4's and under. It's a small beach which I like, bathrooms, near car park, icecream bldg and a playground around the corner.

Hi I like Lawrencetown Beach. My two kids love it. It has a lifeguard, canteen, plenty of parking (even weekends) and bathrooms. It also has alot of sand and is long enough to walk along.
