Trampolines 4 Years, 4 Months ago
Does anyone have any advice on makes or types of indoor mini trampolines for a 4 year old? I'm thinking about getting one for my son, who is turning 4 next month. He is a BIG jumper and has been asking for one, and he really does need ways to burn off energy in the house! He jumps on the beds and sofa but as he's getting older and heavier I wouldn't mind moving the jumping off our furniture!

Thanks!

I just got a mini trampoline (rebounder) on Kajiji for $20. Both me and my almost-4yo dd love it. I've heard they're really great for relieving stress and anxiety, as well as being a good workout. There seems to be a huge range in quality; I think mine was probably a pretty inexpensive model and I will probably save for an upgrade, since I like it so much. It also depends whether you want it just for your kid or for you, as well; there are mini-trampolines designed just for kids, with extra safety features. But dd is doing fine with it and I don't worry about her using it. It's great for playdates, too!

I don't know who sells them locally, but there's lots of information about them online. I wouldn't go with anything other than a mini-trampoline; the big ones have been implicated in too many accidents. The little one I have is only a few inches off the ground and is very stable. It doesn't take up much space. One thing--make sure yours has at least 6 legs, so it doesn't tip over.

Wow, great find on kijiji - I love that site, but try to stay away otherwise I'll buy too much!

I think we've decided to hold off on the trampoline for now and stick to jumping on beds and sofas. Hopefully it's not that much longer to spring, right?

Thanks for the info!
