| My bio: | My names Laurie, born and raised in Ontario, heading to Halifax in the summer of 2010 for DH's schooling at Dal. I'm in my second year of teaching and loving it. I have one DS who is 4. |
| My interests: | Everything natural living...not as in the 'green' movement/fad, but keeping real to our roots and being a conscious consumer. |
| Favourite child-friendly hangout?: | camping or the cottage :) |
| My idea of a perfect family day: | Sleep in 'til 10:00, waffles with berries and whipped cream for breakfast, a family outting who cares where, and some down time together. |
| Best parenting advice I've ever received: | Parenting advice is like a dirty diaper. Sometimes you just have to look at it and say "that's nice" then flush it down the toilet. |
| Worse parenting advice I've ever received: | That which comes from nosey strangers. I believe it takes a village to raise a child, but one can question/help before one passes judgement/offers unsolicited advice. |
| If I had a whole day to myself, I'd: | Do something that left my body free to just me....water skiing? roller blading? figure skating? and finish off with a sunset. |
