Why do I love Fiddleheads? Let me count the ways: 1) Eco-friendly products! The children shall inherit the earth so I want to make sure it's in good shape for them. Not to mention their little bodies are susceptible to the harmful toxins, paints and materials that are found in a lot of toys these days. Fiddleheads does a great job researching the products they bring in making sure they're fun and safe for our little ones. 2) Local! Not only has it been a great addition to the Dartmouth community, but they support local artisans and community members (from photographers and crochers to educators and other stores). 3) Staff! Knowledgable, friendly, and so down to earth! It's a relief to walk in somewhere and have someone actually listen to what you're looking for or the problem you're trying to solve and be able to offer different suggestions and help. When I have to pull my screaming toddler away from the toys, there are no annoyed eye rolls, only symathetic looks and smiles! 4)Space! Light, airy and full of so many amazing things to look at. My daughter and I love walking in there and she immediately gravitates to the awesome kid area (with a big picture window overlooking Lake Banook) to play while I shop! The layout is great and the aesthetic puts me in a great mood for shopping. Thanks for being you Fiddleheads! |
