I'm Hungry: Slow Cooker Style

Posted by SarahW in HungryFood and cooking

Ahh the slow cooker! Whether you have an addition to it or only just received your first one for Christmas, here are a few easy recipes that you’ll come to love and appreciate on a busy winter weeknight.

Betty Crocker’s Slow Cooker Jambalaya gets a 5 spoon rating on their website and is so fast and easy to make you’ll wonder why you’ve waited so long.  Keep it mild or kick it up if your family likes a little heat.

You can’t have a slow cooker without a good chilli recipe. The blogchef.net site has a great meat chili that’s thick, chunky and so tasty.

And a vegetarian version from food.com that is jammed packed with goodness.  Try the leftovers on top of nachos for an appetizer later in the week!

There are so many soup recipes for the slow cooker but this Butternut Squash version from Canadian Parents is perfect to warm up the whole family on a cold day.

How amazing would it be to wake up to have a hearty and warm breakfast ready and waiting for you?  It's possible with eatingwell.com's oatmeal in the slow cooker for a creamy taste like no other.  You have to try it!

Believe it or not, you can even make some yummy sweet treats in the slow cooker.  Let Martha Stewart show you how with these amazing looking brownies.

Me and my fiance love it and making the wraps the next day was a great way to use up leftovers
