Details: Some highlights include:
Councillor’s Teddy Bear Picnic, Community Gardens, 1-2:30pm, Sun Aug 2: Join Councillor Jackie Barkhouse with your teddy bear and blanket for stories, singsongs, juice & teddy bear cake.
34th Annual Fireworks Display, MacCormack’s Beach, 9:30pm, Wed Aug 5 (Rain date is Sunday Aug 9)
Sand Sculpture Contest, MacCormack's Beach, 2pm, Fri Aug 7: Four different age categories join the fun (7 yrs & under, 8 - 11 yr, 12 - 15 yrs, and 16 yrs & over). For information contact Louise Henman-Poirier 465-8252 or Joyce Treen 465-4430. Don't forget your rakes, shovels, lawn chairs & sunscreen. Max 3 participants per group.
Critter Walk on the Boardwalk, 5pm, Fri Aug 7: Another year for our furried friends to partake in the Carnival - donations accepted to support “Sonya’s Cat & Animal Rescue Society”. Pledge sheets & info 469-MEOW (6369).
Carnival Parade, 10am, Sat Aug 8: begins at the Ultramar parking lot.
Family Movie Night, 7-10pm, Sat Aug 8: Join Councillor Jackie Barkhouse for a special family movie night under the Big Top. Complete with popcorn, this event is a great night for the entire family to enjoy together.
Children's Parade, 1pm, Sun Aug 9 at the small ballfield: Join in one of four categories: Doll Carriage, Cart/Wagon, Bike/Trike or Favourite Story Book Character. Registration begins at 12:30 pm. For more information contact Rhonda Naugle 465-6893.
Mainland Amusements and Community Booths in the carnival grounds, open from 6pm on Fri Aug 7 and from noon on Sat Aug 8 and Sun Aug 9
