Details: Enjoy nature’s winged wonders in our Butterfly House. New butterfly chrysalises arrive every two weeks with a wide variety of tropical species. Each species has its own unique colours, patterns, and textures; some are flamboyantly colourful while others are cryptically camouflaged. It is a wondrous event to observe a beautiful butterfly emerge from a chrysalis. The “Emerging Chamber,” in the museum foyer, allows visitors to see the various life stages. If you’re lucky — you might be around when a new butterfly greets the world! Once the butterfly’s wings dry, it joins other live butterflies in the museum’s walk-in Butterfly House. Here, experience beautiful butterflies “nectaring” from a special selection of fruit and flowers. |
