Homemade Bubbles and Wands
You need: liquid dish soap, glycerin or light corn syrup, variety of household implements

Depending on the type of liquid dish soap you use you may need to adjust this 'recipe', but we've found combining 1 part liquid dish soap with 12 parts water to work well. Adding a few drops of glycerin or light corn syrup helps the bubbles last longer. It's also best if you can leave the solution for a few hours or overnight before using it – seems to work best that way! We've also heard that 1 part water to 1 part Johnson’s Baby Shampoo works really well too!

Make your own bubble blowers

The possibilities are endless! Here are some ideas to get you started:
  • cookie cutters
  • thin wire or clothes hangers bent into shape (careful of sharp edges)
  • strawberry baskets
  • funnels
  • paper cups - poke a hole in the bottom
  • straws - individually or in a group banded together
  • hula-hoop
  • pipe cleaners
  • potato masher
  • cardboard tubes
  • turkey baster
  • your own hands (place your pointer fingers and thumbs together to make a circle)

Recommended age: all ages - you are never too young or too old to enjoy bubbles! | Read more...
